In 1998, aged sixteen, Katie Stillman won the prestigious Grand Prize at the Canadian Music Competitions in Montreal. She was chosen for the Tillett Trust's Young Artists' Platform in 2005 and the Maisie Lewis Award (Worshipful Company of Musicians) in 2006. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Victoria Simonsen has been the recipient of several awards including winner of the 2008 ROSL Music Competition's strings section and the RNCM's Gold Medal and Audience Prize in 2006. Katie and Victoria perform with the Barbirolli Quartet, currently quartet-in-residence at the University of Salford.
